Continuing from Day 32 — Graciously sacrifice suffering and illusion of my Manifesto, today let's talk about seeing the reality to find higher levels of freedom...
#31 I see the humor, purpose, and all the forces, in every moment
Every moment is multidimensional.
The way I choose to see it changes everything.
My attitude towards it changes everything.
What attitude do I choose?
Humor when it comes to me, Purpose when it comes to others.
I choose humor instead of taking things seriously and personally. Learning to laugh at myself, seeing the cosmic irony, realizing that the universe has a dark and twisted sense of humor at times, keeps the play and joy alive.
There is a purpose behind every interpersonal interaction. I can choose to see it and understand it. Without that I fail to take the lesson from it, I fail to see how it was helping me. I fail to see how I was helping the other — even when it looks like the opposite.
Help is not linear. Purpose helps us understand that the surface does not always reflect the deeper workings, at least not in obvious ways. A hurtful act may be the best blessing. A blessing may be a curse in disguise. Understanding the purpose is key.
I use my wisdom and intuition to see the purpose in every moment.
Going Beyond Self & Other
There are numerous forces active in everything and every moment. If we only use our senses and rational mind, we remain blind to what is truly going on. Our intuition can help us lean into the invisible forces present in each moment. From that position we understand responsibility and ownership very differently.
What are these invisible forces? There are shadow forces and light forces, and there are also the forces of neutrality. These 3 forces manifest everything under the umbrella of the absolute divine forces. Within these are numerous forces.
At the level of divinity there is no duality, so there are no good forces or evil forces. What appear as dual opposites collapse into union at the level of the divine. At this level there are only absolute forces and wills. Realizing this frees us from delusions of righteousness — thinking that there is such a thing as bad or evil.
As these absolute forces manifest, they divide into multiples of 3, they start appearing as dual opposites with the 3rd invisible force of neutrality.
The 3rd force is called the middle way in Buddhism. I call it the liminal space and I’ll talk in much more depth about this space in a future post.
By the time these forces manifest into our world, they have divided into dozens, hundreds, and even thousands of minor forces, depending where they show up.
There are physical forces such as gravity acting on us in each moment in our physical body. There are also psychological forces such as culture that act on our minds in every moment.
We receive infinite impressions in each moment. Each layered with multiple forces acting on it.
What’s the point of all this? When you begin to understand the number of invisible forces active in every moment, free will starts to feel less free. You start realizing just how robotic you are when there are so many forces directing your thoughts, emotions, and physical body.
Realizing your limitations also takes you to higher levels of freedom. When we are able to recognize the forces we can detach from them and become lighter.
Shadow forces such as guilt, anger, shame, and fear keep us trapped in loops of compulsion and obligation. We can shift with the help of lighter forces such as grace, compassion, forgiveness, love, and humor.
We can even use neutral forces such as harmony, discernment and objectivity to detach.
Naturally “I see it all in every moment” is an impossible aspiration of omniscience. Nonetheless, it is a reminder that we have the potential of godlike abilities within. When we transcend our ego, we can look beyond the veil and see reality at a level beyond the comprehension of our feeble minds.
The primary motive of including this directive in my manifesto is to remind me to look and feel beyond the surface, to sense all the forces, so I can find greater freedom in every situation, moving towards higher levels of self & spiritual mastery.
